the relay was so orderly and many passionate supporters were q-ing to witness tis historic moment

the plot is so thin, i describe it as being able to see the end of the road after the first 5 mins

there is hardly any surprises which doesn’t entice mi to continue reading

wat i tink is reli lacking is depth of the characters and i m complaining there r too few memorable characters in the story besides the male & female leads

the man shines in most aspects from career to looks & body & his only shortcoming is his gray hair

on the other hand, the woman is supposed to look pretty wif blue gray eyes and in less den ideal financial circumstances awaiting a knight in shining armour to rescue her

there isn’t much attention paid to detailing how the leads look which makes the story less endearing to mi

and i hate the female being portrayed like poor Cinderella waiting to b rescued

and got to meet her last nite. time flies! the last time we saw each other was 17 yrs ago!

new strategy for chinese

 

tis was derived after sat’s futile attempts to get YY to learn to write all the words in chapter one of his textbk

i studied the revision papers and realised tat he didn’t need to know how to write a lot of words to pass

the answers are either in MCQ or given for cloze passages so YY onli need to pick the rite answer.  in fact, by the time he gets to compre which he needs to write full answers for, he would haf picked up 34 marks for a 50 marks paper.

and wifout even having to do compre and sentence construction.  ok, i beli bad but i tink we need to stardee smart

so i decided to let YY practise all the MCQ and other related choose-a-word kinda exercises in his assessment books in order to score a pass

we will deliberately skip all the exercises tat require him to write answers on his own

 

 

 

YY’s linguistic capabilities

 

it nbr fails to amaze mi how skewed his standards r in eng and chinese

we spent most of the day on chinese and it’s as traumatic for mi as it is for him…tink i muz haf shortened my life by a few yrs from tis

i find it extremely hard to understand how he can NOT remember the words after reading them for the umpteenth time

den we spent the last 15 mins of the day on eng which is his paper tml

and we breezed thru the assessment books and spelling list

our mood collectively lifted for the first time tdy as we went thru english, omg!  i tink he was as relieved as i was to put chinese aside

if onli his chinese is even half as good as his eng…sigh!

to my surprise, QQ collected a stack of characters tat she knew…wow!   tis is reli the golden period to teach her chinese before she learns hypy!

and i got her more chinese books and books on chinese poems tdy coz i like one particular one tat had the poems arranged in the same order as i was teaching the kiddos wif  all the easy ones were in the beginning of the book

yea!  bro’s new lappy coz built-in drive and i got MS pro adaptor for my M2 card so it’s double adaptor and i get all my mp3 and picts easily transferrable

i m nbr in the habit of storing picts on MS.  i m beli diligent when it comes to uploading picts from MS so the MS for my camera is mostly empty

and i finally worked out tat it’s the sandisk MS tat my camera had prob writing to…unfortunately i still need to use the MS pro adaptor from sandisk in order to use my sony MS M2 card

good thing my M2 card is external and easily removable from the fone

i luv loading MP3 for my fone…such a luxury compared to my V3

but i still tink it’s dumb tat i can’t browse by alpha when sending msgs…stoopid sony ericsson !

is so nice!  i got the one containing all 7 volumes for myself and a very much simplified Prince Caspian wif lotsa beautiful picts for YY.

it reli is so much nicer to read the volumes in the order in the book coz it begins wif the story of how narnia came about.  i juz reach tis part and narnia is 7 hrs old but time to put dwn the bk for bed

i dun tink it’s tat easy to read, for a children’s book and i was tinking it’ll make a great bedtime story.  it’ll most prob last mi a yr!

the kiddos haf a few big books for bedtime stories.  YY loves new stories but QQ has her fav abt ‘Stripey Tiger and Little Mermaid’ and Mr Potatohead which she always want to listen to again

bedtime stories are considered treats for them and we don’t do it everyday.  it depends on wat time they get to bed, if they stay up late, no bedtime stories for them
